About Deborah Varon

I’m a systems-minded operator with a marketing brain and a deep love for helping founders get out of the weeds.

Over the past 12+ years, I’ve worn a lot of hats: agency owner, in-house marketer, operations lead, and project wrangler. I know what it’s like to juggle everything—and how to build systems that keep things moving without it all depending on you.

I got my start in a marketing agency and eventually, I launched my own agency—where I wasn’t just building campaigns, but the backend systems that made everything run smoothly: project workflows, hiring systems, and internal processes that scaled with us. From there, I joined a fast-growing investment firm and built its marketing ops engine from scratch—CRM, automation, podcast, reporting, vendors—the works.

That’s when I realized: I love this part. The behind-the-scenes puzzle of how a business runs day-to-day. Turning chaos into clarity. Being the steady, strategic right hand that lets a founder actually lead.

Now, I partner with founders and small teams as a fractional ops lead—bringing order to the chaos with workflows, SOPs, internal tools, and cross-functional coordination. If you’re the big-picture thinker who needs someone to execute without a ton of hand-holding—I’m your person.

Outside of Work

I live in Kansas City with my husband and our twin toddlers—so my off-hours are usually filled with parks, snacks, and very early mornings. I love baking, exploring new cities, and reading anything that helps me understand how people think and work.

I’m a strategist at heart, a calm presence in chaos, and a big believer that systems should serve you, not the other way around.
