Operational Case Studies & Experience

Proven experience leading operations across agencies, startups, and client teams—built for scale, grounded in systems, and focused on results.

Case Study: Building Scalable Marketing Ops for an Investment Fund Manager

Challenge:
When I joined this investment firm, they had a website—and not much else. No systems, no team, and no scalable marketing infrastructure. They needed more than just capital acquisition—they needed operational clarity and sustainable growth.

My Role:
I stepped in to build their marketing operations from the ground up, ensuring systems were designed not just to perform, but to scale.

What I Delivered Over 18 Months:

  • Automation & Efficiency: Implemented Zapier workflows to connect tools across the marketing stack, reducing manual tasks and error-prone processes.

  • Team Infrastructure: Built and managed a cross-functional team of 10+ contractors and vendors, each able to execute independently across digital, content, and media.

  • Data Visibility: Created custom Looker dashboards pulling from multiple data sources, enabling the leadership team to make informed, real-time marketing decisions.

  • Conversion Optimization: Increased the website conversion rate from 2% to 4% through continuous A/B testing and UX improvements.

  • Content Engine: Launched a high-production video podcast with documented workflows for editing, publishing, guest outreach, and gifting. Within 7 months, the podcast ranked in the top 10% globally and became a consistent content machine.

Results:
$25M+ in new investor capital generated in the first year alone, driven by a lean but highly systematized marketing engine.

Case Study: Operationalizing SEO for a Creative Agency

Challenge:
An agency founder approached me with a growing challenge: clients were beginning to expect strong organic performance—but his team of editors and writers weren’t trained to deliver it. He wanted to get ahead of demand by equipping his team with the tools, systems, and confidence to produce SEO-driven content before it became a problem.

My Role:
I was brought in to build an internal SEO capability—without turning editorial creatives into marketers. The goal was to embed SEO best practices into their workflow in a way that felt natural, repeatable, and client-ready.

What I Delivered:

  • Custom SEO Framework: Developed a tailored research and content development process that fit the team’s strengths and addressed client expectations

  • Team Enablement: Created a hands-on SEO training program and led a two-day in-house workshop to bring writers and editors up to speed

  • Embedded Implementation: Worked alongside the team in the weeks following to refine the system, troubleshoot real projects, and coach them through the transition

Results:
The team now produces SEO-first content autonomously, with improved confidence, alignment, and results—and the agency is better positioned to retain and upsell clients with organic growth as a value driver.
